Part 4
Conclusions:

1.
“One Belt and One Road” is closely related to International law. The principles of the One Belt One Road Initiative correspond to the core principles of the UN.
International peace and security should be maintained.
Friendly relations among the nations should be developed and lead to the openness and inclusiveness.
International cooperation of different countries in the economic, social, cultural, technical and trade fields should be based on mutual learning.
Countries should cooperate with each other for the mutual benefits when solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character, promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.

2.
The realization of the OBOR initiative is challenging, however, the OBOR initiative can be considered as a platform for China and foreign countries to develop and promote mutual trust and mutual benefit.

 3.
It is important to take into consideration what OBOR countries are the parties to what  international conventions/treaties and/or members in what organizations.
There are major differences in legal systems in the countries across the OBOR, including common law,  continental law, Islamic law.
A proper settlement of disputes depends on the correct choice and application of the relevant law.

4.
There is a lack of foreign experts with both knowledge of international law and Chinese.
There are risks because of the complex geopolitics and different political, economic and legal environments in the countries along the “One Belt One Road”.
Foreign international lawyers with knowledge of Chinese together with other professionals can help to build a bridge of understanding and cooperation between China and other countries.
